Invited Speaker FOR THE Master Class
“Craftsmen: where design, tradition & innovation could meet”
The seminar focuses on the idea of local heritage and of craftsmanship between tradition, design and innovation, seen through an international perspective, thanks to the participation of designers, experts, educators working in different european schools.
Why and how craftsmen and their crafts should be valorized is a core question. Possibly most of us already understand the importance of preserving and communicating this great heritage. To explore and disseminate the variety of expres- sions in craftsmanship means bringing light on who we are as
individuals and societies, as designers and researchers. At a time locally and more generally, in both an historical and a future perspective. Through the discussion of two case-studies and of personal projects, we will be analyzing crafts valorization and its potential and relevance.
Workshop animation on exhibition design and local crafts valorization. 20 students. In collaboration with Nicolò Ceccarelli.
