We review upstream processes from the first sketches to the start of production. A system-thinking is applied to secure value in the overall lifecycle. We usually start with a quick review (4-8 days depending on the scope), followed by a discovery report to identify priorities in:
- Collection development and retroplannings
- Prototyping orders and reviews, including 3D sampling
- Pre-buys
- Handover from development to industrial teams
- Industrialization stages
- Industrial heritage & archives:
- Patterns library
- Materials library
- Transmission and valorization of savoir-faire
- Digital vaults
2. ORGANIZATION
Along with the process review, we look at internal organization and propose alternatives to bring more efficiency and agility to the design process. We also focus on collaboration within and between teams to:
- Deal simply with growing product’s complexity and data flows
- Manage and secure high-quality information
- Combine a sense of purpose with data-driven necessity

The New Artisans is moving forward to help its clients achieve their sustainability goals through circular design.
We are in a privileged position as a pivot between materials suppliers, designers, and product developpers. This position enables us to help teams reduce environmental impact with informed design scenarios and decisions. This requires a strong collaboration across the supply chain in the early development phases of materials and the production of the final consumer product.
